In a recent speech, Ahmadinejad blamed the agricultural authorities for misusing water resources. He claimed a kilogram of potato in Iran uses 250,000 liters of water, then he corrected it to 250 liters. Then he calculated the cost of growing potato in Iran as $50 per kilogram, while potato only sells for 15 cents/kilo in Iran!! Then he suggests Iran save its water instead to bottle and sell it to neighboring countries and with the proceeds help farmers by increasing their income 50 folds!
