strike
Iranian News Sources: 1500 workers at Iran's Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex continued their third day of strike demanding direct negotiations with management and elimination of contractors. It is also reported that 1000 employees of the Pars Paper Products plant are on strike to protest elimination of 60 part-time positions.
Separately, CHUKA, Mazandaran's Paper and Wood Products plant, one of Middle East's largest and oldest pulp and paper manufacturers, was seriously damaged today after fire engulfed the plant. The cause of fire is unknown but it appears to be human-initiated.
