Canada's Largest Youngest Persian Summer Festival Comes to Vancouver and Calgary This Weekend
Independent Aggregator of Iran-related News/Events, Kodoom.com: Thanks to a large group of volunteers and sponsors, the TabestoonFest 2018 is set to take place at the iconic Pier and Shipyards in North Vancouver on August 25-26 and in Calgary on August 24. Tabestoon Festival (tah-bes-toon; Summer in Farsi) is a vibrant and diverse multi-platform artistic festival devoted to fostering the rich creative tastes of the new generation of Iranian youth in North American diaspora communities.
Tabestoon is different than other Persian festivals sponsored by Canadian government because it focuses on younger more progressive artists and audiences. Inaugurated in 2014, the festival’s content and programs are diligently curated every two years by a passionate team of young avant-garde professionals as a platform for collaboration and fusion of Iranian and Western arts, music and culture in order to create a unique euphoric experience for its audiences and offer a rich palette for many tastes.
This year, On August 25, people can party and mingle with artists like Ajam band, Erwin Khachikian and Karmandan, Abjeez, Kiosk, King Raam on a cruise ship (Special promotion LINK) or listen to the same artists on August 26 at Plaza of Nations in Vancouver (Special promotional prices available HERE). There are also FREE cultural shows and events at the iconic Pier and Shipyards in North Vancouver.
In Calgary, On August 24, Ajam and Kiosk will be performing and there is an Iranian afterparty (Specially priced tickets HERE).
