In Pictures: Iranian policewomen convention

Last month, on the occasion of Iran's Women's Day, which coincides with the birthday of Fatima, the daughter of Islam's prophet Muhammad, officers of Iran's female police force attended a convention in Tehran's Spina Palace Hotel.
Tehran's police Chief commander Hossein Rahimi spoke at the convention.
The policewomen, clad in black chador (full body cover mandated by Iran's theocratic government) performed some dramatic drills on stage.
