Ahmadinejad's Media Advisor: In the West, they raise their kids like animals!
Mehdi Kalhor is Ahmadinejad's controversial media adviser, whose daughter, Narges Kalhor, recently sought political asylum in Germany and condemned torture and other human rights violations in Iran.
In new controversial statements, Mr. Kalhor, in an interview with ILNA, called his daughter's asylum application and anti-Ahmadinejad statements the result of a secret "U.S.-led foreign" project to disgrace Iranian officials. He also referred to another failed project by the United States (project Ajax 2) to overthrow Ahmadinejad. When asked about the source of his information or the author of these projects, he indicated "I don't remember exactly, but they're not in the media." He continued: "In the West, they raise their children like animals, leaving them on their own after a certain age. But our family ties are strong in Iran, which gives our enemies ways to hurt [disgrace] us."
The strength of ties in Kalhor's own family is questionable. His separated wife recently stated that Kalhor left her and their children three years ago, even though the couple is still "legally" married. She indicated that Mr. Kalhor only pays $100 a month in support for their daughter, and that he refuses to talk to his daughter. She did not elaborate on whether Mr. Kalhor is engaged in any extramarital relations or not.
