A day before reformist rally in Iran: Most Independent Internet sites shut down by government
A day before mass Quds rallies in Iran, in which reformists and their leaders Mousavi, Karrubi, Khatami and Rafsanjani are participating, the Ahmadinejad government and security forces have shut down most independent internet news and blog sites, arrested several more political activists, and issued stern warnings to those carrying "deceiving colorful symbols," referring to "Green" symbols used by reformists, in the rallies.
There are also reports that the government has embedded authorized reporters in rallies and select spots to broadcast pro-ahmadinejad anti-Israeli images only.//
