This Man is a Headache for the $1.5 Trillion Pharmaceutical and News Industries

United States is an interesting country, especially when it comes to its media landscape. It looks like there is currently a battle between independent podcasters and large commercial media/news networks, particularly when it comes to vaccines and mandates.
According to media observers, last month the Democrat-leaning, pharmaceutical-sponsored news networks CNN and MSNBC, which are currently promoting President Biden's mandates and vaccines, were down in viewership, respectively, to average 99,000 and 79,000 daytime viewers in adults 25-54 years old. In contrast, independent internet comedian/social commentators like Tim Dillon, Jimmy Dore, Russell Brand and Tim Pool, who are now questioning the efficacy of the vaccines and the Biden Administration's mandates, each reach around 100,000-500,000 people per episode, often surpassing major cable news programs in number of daily viewers.
One person in particular, reaches an estimated 15 million people per episode, more than all major news networks combined! His name is Joe Rogan. He is a nonpartisan podcaster, comedian, and mixed martial arts enthusiast. Joe Rogan's recent Spotify podcasts with three medical doctors/scientists Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Robert Malone and Dr. John Abramson, (all questioning the safety, efficacy, politics and business of pharmaceuticals including vaccines) became trending topics on twitter and drew immediate attention from authorities and even pharmaceutical executives like Pfizer's CEO, who immediately went on a counter-offensive on other podcasts and TV shows.
Twitter and Facebook have already banned or suspended many accounts (including Dr. Malone and other scientists/doctors) who pose questions about the vaccines and mandates. Youtube demonetized the popular podcast by scientists Heather Heying and Bret Weinstein because they shared concerns and questions about the safety and efficacy of the vaccines. On the other hand, the cable news networks (including even many programs on Fox News) are heavily sponsored by the $1.5 trillion pharmaceutical industry. The Trusted News Initiative (TNI), a consortium of news agencies including AP, AFP; BBC, CBC/Radio-Canada, European Broadcasting Union (EBU),Facebook, Financial Times, First Draft, Google/YouTube, The Hindu, Microsoft, Reuters, Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, Twitter, and The Washington Post, has been formed to combat (censor) any information that casts a doubt on mandates and vaccine efficacy. The critics call TNI a censorship cartel and an unprecedented attack on freedom of speech. Yet, it appears that the entire $1.5 trillion pharmaceutical industry and their associated news agencies, TNI, cable news and TV stations are unable to match the reach and impact of a series of independent podcasters, particularly a man named Joe Rogan.
Cable news and mainstream media are losing a lot of customers. Comcast and AT&T alone lost more than two million customers in 2021 (see details here). Another 30% of US consumers planned to cut the cord in 2021. By contrast, nearly all Americans aged 25-34 access TV content through the internet, which means even a better future for independent podcasters competing with big-business sponsored TV media.
Joe Rogan has a contract with Spotify and may not be easy to buy, but do not be surprised to see some of his top podcast rivals in 2022 sponsored or paid by big corporations and pharmaceuticals.
